Cravens Anna Dean Cravens, 62, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008 at her home. Born January 22, 1946 in Kansas City, Kans., she was the daughter of Raymond Kenneth and Iva Geraldine (Noble) Norton. On June 15, 2007 she was married to Roger Durwood Cravens, Jr. and he preceded her in death December 2, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Deanna Norton; three brothers, Kenneth Norton, Charles Munson and Louis Munson, and a sister, Ida Bastow. Surviving are a son, Shawn Cravens and his wife, Rebecca, Richmond; two brothers, Mike Munson and William Munson, both of Carrollton; and four sisters, Retta Taylor, Lawson, Carolyn Newens, Wisconsin, Tammy Shelton, Louisiana, and Elizabeth Gossen, Iowa; and two step-grandsons, Jason and Jacob. Anna had been employed as a certified nurses aid and had worked in the Excelsior Springs area all of her life. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Inurment will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery.
