Bertha L. Fairchild Wrisinger
Bertha Leverne Wrisinger, 73, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., formerly of Richmond and Macon, Mo., passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo. Born October 19, 1934 in Rayville, Mo., she was the daughter of Earl and Frances (Martin) Payne. On May 13, 1955 in Richmond she was united in marriage to William Raymond Fairchild, who preceded her in death April 29, 1974. On November 29, 1975 at Richmond she was married to Roy Delbert Wrisinger, who preceded her in death January 2, 1993. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a step-son, Gayle Wrisinger. Surviving are her children, Raymond Fairchild and wife, Deborah, Douglas Fairchild and wife, Kathy, and Cindy Bonuchi and husband, Donnie; step-children, Ronald Wrisinger, Rick Wrisinger, Nancy Black and Bonnie Rheuter; four grandchildren and several step-grandchildren; one sister, Nora Helt; one brother, George Payne; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wrisinger was a life-long resident of Ray County with the exception of several years that she lived at Macon, Mo. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and was very active in school functions and participated in the parents plays that were given. She was president of the P.T.A. for several years. Bertha worked in Vacation Bible School and helped with many church meals. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Macon and attended Grace Family Worship in Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Polley Funeral Home, 122 W. North Main, Richmond, Mo. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens in Richmond.
