Sign Guest Book Effie O'Dell Effie Henson O’Dell, 99, of Richmond, formerly of Orrick, Mo., passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation in Richmond, Mo. Born October 29, 1910 in Mosby, Mo., she was the daughter of Frank and Anna (Hoover) Henson. She was married to William Jewell O’Dell, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1976. Also preceding her in death were a son, William Jewell O’Dell, Jr., a daughter, Roberta Ann O’Dell, and seven siblings. Surviving are a son, James Russell O’Dell of Largo, Fla.; a sister, Anna Means of Richmond, Mo.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. O’Dell was a homemaker and had also previously worked for Pepsi Cola and Campbell’s Meat Locker. Her faith in God was very strong and she loved to attend various churches. She was of the Southern Baptist faith. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Burial will be in the O’Dell Cemetery.
