Scott Nolker
William Scott Nolker, 35, of Kearney, Mo., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Mo., following an automobile accident. The son of William Augusta and Twyla Denise (Schwarzel) Nolker, he was born September 27, 1972 in Excelsior Springs, Mo. On April 22, 1995 in Ray County, Mo., he was united in marriage to Misty Lynn Long who survives. He is also survived by four daughters, Elizabeth, Teresa, Sarah and Danielle Nolker, all of the home; his father and step-mother, Bill and Jackie Nolker, Lawson; his mother, Denise Taylor, Kansas City; two sisters, Tracy Nolker, Clinton, and Jennifer Lee, Branson; three brothers, Joshua Littrell, Liberty, Ryan Littrell, Kansas City and Shawn Kerner, Lawson; grandparents, Jeannie Woods, Excelsior Springs, Frank and Marjorie Nolker, Pittsburgh, Mo., and Pete Schwarzel, Lawson; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mae Nolker Williams. Scott was a 1991 graduate of Lawson High School. He was self-employed as a carpenter and owned and operated Nolker Construction for many years. He was a jack of many trades. He coached girls soccer teams at Kearney and also enjoyed sprint car racing. The absolute joy of his life was his beloved four daughters, who were the light of his eyes, and he also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6, 2008 at 7 p.m. at Polley Funeral Home in Lawson, Mo. Visitation will be Friday after 2 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Scott Nolker Memorial Fund, c/o Polley Funeral Home, 214 Pennsylvania Ave, Lawson, MO 64062.
